RIP David Bowie 1947 - 2016
Believe me when I say I was shocked to hear on the news, on the way to work that one of my favorite singers died.
Like Robin Williams, Iwata, I felt a bit heart broken.
But at least these gentleman are in a better place now.
I wanted to do a tribute drawing of the character he played in a movie me and my older sister grew up with: Jim Henson's Labyrinth.
I like how it turned out over all, but I mostly wanted to draw it because I really wanted to. Regardless of how it really looked.
God speed David Bowie.

Y'know, Bowie actually wasn't dexterous enough to handle those crystals like Jerith does in the movie. In fact, there was someone else who handled those; he stuck his hand through a sleeve and worked them around from behind Bowie. Unfortunately, he was working blind, so there were plenty times when he accidentally dropped the crystals.
Anyway, David Bowie is dead? Damn... I never even heard the news. We're losing all the good dudes; Leonard Nimoy, Robin Williams, even Michael Jackson. (Yeah, I said it.) Now, Bowie dies? The world is turning into shit, plain and simple.
