Painted (Lineless, folks!) Bust Commission for
Abraxis of Abraxis, the lightning dragon, heralding the oncoming storm~
Whew, what a rad bust! This is actually the finished result of a recent YCH Bust Piece, and I was literally super excited to see Abraxis here - he lent himself perrrrfectly to that sketch, and with the stormy background, the character just fit so well. Like a piece in the puzzle, the sketch was like, made for him. X)
I made the background larger than most Frame-Breakers for Busts to include more detail, yet still showed his neck hanging over it, (since I love that effect, hehe.) I wanted to play off the warmer tones in his scales with the sunset in the distance, but the last rays of the sunset are fading quickly as the storm billows over the mountains~
