First off the photo quality I'd like to apologize for right off the bat. The colours should be richer, the outfit of the woman and the spaceship are done in a dark metallic silver that looks WAY to light and kind of messes up the shadows. In short I need both better lighting and a better camera since mine has been slowly going the way of the Dodo with functions working when they see fit... HOWEVER! On to what this is all about:

This is a 16" x 20" acrylic painting done for a show in The Blue Tomato - a local art gallery. This month where I live they are having an international film show all around the city and this is my piece for it. Its a throw back to those B-Movies that I love so much so that I decided to make up my own: SPACE LOBSTER FROM THE MOON. It includes those muddy colours that B-Movie posters shine in and it reminds me of the trading cards as well. I also have sequels in mind, but we'll see what happens with this one first.
