I've been sketching this character for the last couple of weeks and decided it was time to compile the best sketches into an inked character study.
This one was inked in Flash and painted in Photoshop.

Illustrator is fine, but photoshop seems to be the most intuitive method for me. For some reason,. I have to fight with illustrator just to get the results I want with th linework and coloring. Maybe I don't quite grasp the program right. Or...I'm expecting it to act like Flash.
I usually draw up the lines in Flash since their vector tools are very intuitive and it's very easy to adjust line weight. I wrote a tutorial on this if you're interested in checking it out.

I only colour and i accidentally installed illustrator rather than photoshop, so i learnt how to use that before i realised my mistake.
I'll check out that tutorial, they're always usefull
It's not a easy program to learn i'll admit that, I've been using it a year and i'm still learning new things. Maybe CS4 is easier, i'll, try it one day.
hmm, maybe i should try flash.
