timkangaroo's response to the Old Art Meme - "Post the oldest picture that you have drawn, that you can find on your computer or.. some old art cd or something", here's a picture from the depths of the old art vault that has recently been opened by archaeologists :)
This picture arose from a bout of inter-city commuting I did many years ago flying between Christchurch and Wellington, where due to inter-airline competition passengers were treated to a full meal service for the 30 minute flight...
Inking was done with a metal dip pen, hence the scratchiness.

Oh yeah. Ansett New Zealand brought in competition to Air New Zealand after the latter's monopoly on domestic services was broken in the eighties, and very quickly airbridges and full-service meals were brought in on all domestic flights. For the Christchurch to Wellington services, the food service would start while the plane was still climbing to altitude, and the flight attendants would be clearing away everything ten minutes before touchdown. Nowadays the full service flights are just a memory, with biscuits and mineral water being dished out...
Ahhh, those were the days - I remember the Air New Zealand breakfast included a soft warm bread roll, a lump of rock-hard cold butter... and a plastic knife
