No comments? I can't believe it! Obviously people accidentally missed this piece while sifting through their "Submission Folder".
What I like about the image is how the dark background gives you the feeling of how this Charmander is a source of warmth. (S)he is also potentially just arriving to help a lost Pokemon, or Pokemon Trainer, find their way through a cave.
The image has fantastic shading with Charmander giving off a very inviting facial expression and pose. It's like, "I'm here to help."
Another mental thought I get is how the lead-up to the image is stumbling around in the dark until a faint light shows up. There is fear at what the light could be until we get this view. Relief is then had once it is realized Charmander is a friend who will make the dark and/or potentially cold journey a lot easier. :)
