More mini gourd critter upload spam! This time, mini frogs and toads.
Each little amphibian is only 2.5-3" long and made of a single "miniature spinner gourd". I grow these tiny heirloom gourds myself. I then use air drying clay to sculpt the features onto them. Each little guy is based off of a real species (except the skeleton one LOL). You can see those on my website in the subgallery here: http://carabevan.com/Gallery/GourdFrogs.html
As of this post I've made 121 gourd frogs, which includes my older medium sculptures and fully textured realistic ones. I'm definitely making more amphibians. :D
