the species themselves are very intelligent, and artistically inclined. they are normally forest dwelling creatures, but it is not unheard of for them to take up residence in other environments. their front paws are larger than their back paws, a feature meant for digging up roots and plants to eat. They are known for making their own paint often by grinding or squishing up coloured materials (such as powders from crushed stones, or juices from berries), mixing the material with their spit to make a mixture with the consistency and utility of paint. The tip of their tails are dipped in this "paint" and used to mark territories, a scent assigned to the markings through the tail. The tails are also used to paint designs, just for the sake of creativity. each Dragon's work is recognized through the scent given by the tail.
their fur is not limited to any specific design. they are known to be born in a wide variety of colours, despite the two parents colours. No two Paint dragons are the same. they differences lie in the colours, patterns, horns, and eyes of these dragons.
they are a closed species for now.
