A reprise of one of my first submissions: Drowning in Darkness. Numerous changes and additions have been made, transforming a poorly composed piece into something truly epic, something befitting the castle of Ghaust, the Terror of Death.

I'd recommend changing the title to "Drowning In Darkness - Reprise", as this song is a reprise of your original, not quite a remix. :P
Wow, it's always great to hear people redo their old music, because it really shows how far you've come from when you first started. This song has so much more life to it than the original, making it create a whole new atmosphere. While the last one was dark and gloomy, like staring into an abyss, this version has a more upbeat tone to it which represents hope, light, or spirits in the darkness of the beautiful A Minor key.
There were a few times in the previous song where instruments would clash notes together, creating a short second of awkwardness. In this song, all the notes run smoothly against eachother like polished surfaces.
Around 1:30, this is no longer Drowning in Darkness. It's a whole new song, in fact, as the instruments, the tempo, and overall texture all change. The melody becomes more alive, and suddenly people find themselves on the edge of their seat listening to the unknown excitement as the tension continues building. Hence I call this song a reprise, not a remake. The difference being, a reprise uses the melody of a previous song within itself, while being a totally different song, while a remake is usually similar to the original throughout, featuring minor changes or added instruments.
All I can say is, you've come a long way in six years. I wish I could say as much for myself, but I still just can't spit out music anymore.

This is so EPIC! :D This is definitely my favourite of what I've heard...and in my opinion, the best mixed/produced of all your tracks! Everything in the mix is clear and there are no competing frequencies. There is a perfect balance between the percussion and the other orchestral instruments. Great job once again!
