I was going to come up with a full fictional tracklist for this album, but the only appropriate thing I could find was this.

I'm actually not a huge fan of a lot of music the kink scene usually likes (as far as I'm concerned it's up there with body harnesses in terms of stereotypes that will make me burst out laughing when I see them) so I was trying to go with something a bit less... teutonic. I also wanted to avoid the music the fandom usually associates with Vinyl Scratch, which is fucking Disney dubstep (y'know, Skrillex).
The way I'm picturing Vinyl's style is having started off with really aggressive drum and bass, but then got a cleaner, more chill sound as she matures. This would be one or two albums down the line, with a basis in like, melodic dubstep and chillstep, with a few trance and liquid dnb leanings here and there. The track linked in the description is kind of the prototype track for it.

Yeah, I did get a sense that you where trying to avoid Industrial and related genres in favor of something more sensual.

This is a pet peeve of mine too, what people seem to miss is that ”hip and modern” to the ponies translates to ”somewhere in the early 90s”. Vinyl in particular strikes me as more of a House diva than a Skrillex.

You might wanna check out Lamb, a trip hop band with drums n bass influences that makes very chill music. Otherwise, I recommend ”Dark Angel” by Katie Garside (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrSu65Bb9X4)and Rippin Kitten by Miss Kittin (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTYJZtnUuF0)
