This is a really cute little trio for two bassoons and an oboe. Enjoy. :)

I like the piece! I adore the sounds of bassoons and oboe, and I enjoy music in 3.
At my current level of knowledge and ignorance (mostly ignorance, I admit...), it has the opposite problem of my music... it has too many endings! The coda after 3:11 is nice, but my ears don't pick up much other than a repeat of theme. What was your goal?

Well, to be honest, it's just a theme I'm really happy with. I'm never a fan of variation just for the sake of variation.
But this particular case, that was to get it back into the original key of Ab. The repetition just before that coda was in Cb, and I wanted to hear the theme again in the original key. :)

aaaaah! this one immediately wraps you in a warm blanket, like a fresh comforter out of the dryer on a cold day...
I took a private lesson on the Bassoon as a part of my music education degree, heh, it was a fun instrument... I loooved the low low notes, they make your whole body vibrate!
And the high notes on a bassoon have this sonorous, resonant haunting quality, like "rite of spring"
Great use of double-reed ensemble!

Wonderful, sounds just like a lullaby, in fact I might just go to bed now (because of it's very soothing and relaxing nature, not that other thing).
For some reason it makes me think me of someone laying on the grass looking at something really amazing, but since the person's lived there for so long, it's
normal for him/her, but totally marvelous for anyone else
