Lineless environmental things are therapeutic to paint.
Was planning to paint the deer regular deer colors, but I got used to it being a black silhouette and got attached to it that way.
So its a shadow deer. Its some kind of metaphor for the darkness in my heart or some shit ;P

Surprisingly there was a movie about a forest critter hunting a mouse... but kept getting scared by a big black shadow wolf...
Inevitably the forest critter... a lynx... cornered the mouse of light... whom immediately began devouring its shadow (soul)... and than slowly began devouring the color (life force) from its kitty body...
The shadow wolf then appeared... crushed the body of the evil spirit mouse, and ate it, spitting out the shadow of the lynx which returned to its body, along with its vitality.
After that the shadow wolf became the guardian of the lynx, and protected it from evil spirits.
This was an animation by a cartoonist making use of oriental art styles to portray the cartoon... but also a teaching along with the story... but shadows are not always darkness of evil... what you cannot see and understand are represented by shadows and darkness... and only in the light do you ever see the truth of any creature or being... good or evil.
In the end... you may have drawn a shadow deer to represent a part of you that you don't yet understand.
