It's been a wile since i made i good long dragon. My only complaint about this one, is the fact that his right horn slumped down during baking.(it's on the other side) Otherwise, i'm quite happy with sculpture, he turned out really nice. For this guy i used glitter blue clay as his main color. From there i rubbed dark blue eye shadow on his back and head to make the nice gradation of blue. For his spikes i used navy blue pearl green(i think) for his eyes, and graphite pearl for his horns.
After i baked him, i decided to use a blue ultra fine tip permanent marker for his subtle stripes, then i glazed him with satin. The effects of the glaze were even better than i hoped for. I love this satin glaze, i must use it more often.
I finished him quicker than i thought i would too. I need to make more examples of long dragon sculptures for my commission info.
