PNG files have lossless compression whereas JPGs are irreversibly lossy. If the PNG isn't too large, it is better at preserving fine detail, which abounds with Apophysis. This is only 1 MB, so I suggest NOT replacing it.

I wonder if Dragoneer thinks that there is a "golden orb" button that one can click somewhere in Apophysis...

Well, I have nothing wrong with the filetype itself. However, the contrast between FA's background and a pure black background is exceptionally large in difference. That is the only thing that I was worrying about, hehe.

I understand. You could put the transparent PNG into Photoshop as a layer over a black (or perhaps very dark midnight blue) background layer, then save it as a PNG which will now have the dark or black background that you want.
