Although victory in battle he had to over come the loss of his fallen comrades as well as being the lone survivor in this bloody outcome.

He should honor his fallen comrades not mourn them. Could there be a more honerable way to go. & being the lone survivor, his very existance now becomes proof of his sides victory.
