Inside of every Shrine is finished with a finely polished marble, which is meant to reflect light drawn in by the large, spacious windows. It is meant to both awe the visitors as well as allow them to bask in the Glory of Light. There is no furniture inside, nor statues or carvings. The Light's presence is the main focus here and it's the meditation of the faithful and words of the Priests that give this place a context. This simplicity and openness appealed to thousands, who felt disconnected with the very mysterious and exclusive Faith of Eternal Flame.
