Jaleo and the Carbine
I recently traded off a Spanish made pistol for a M-1 carbine. For some odd reason I had to sketch
jaleo hefting the hardware.
No Jaleo...I kept my best Spanish pistols, this was a Star Ultra I really could care less about.
Besides, in exchange for a Quality Cashregister made M-1...yeah...it was worth it.

whats this!¿ ^^U why again :P I feel really bad when you do this ^^U...have to draw more red shetlands :P looks funny ^^ (damn, still have to check all ur other pics u have been posting before and during X'Mas ><...) but well, after the Cetme, dunno what would be better hehe :p thou I liked more to shot with the Cetme than the G36 honestly
Saw a Civvie G-36 just this weekend, but at $1900, WAYYYYY beyond my price range...sweet weapon though!!!
Thanks to our new president elect, the prices on guns and ammo have literally skyrocketed beyond the average man can afford.
I'm still kicking myself not getting a Cetme a couple years ago when they were 'cheap' at $400.

Ah...theres the catch...these are SEMI auto only. No selective fire weapons permitted unless they are federally registered, and that is EXTREMELY Difficult now. Plus it takes a serious cadre of numerous background checks to get one. AND Selective fire and full auto guns are astronomical in price now...a Cheap Full auto is over $10,000.
Semi auto guns are common as dirt and right now all the 'black guns' are whats selling and literally doubled in price since summer.
I still might draw you with my Ford Jeep and a good old fashioned Ma Duce M-2.

Mmm...just scored a S&W 1917..whoever had it reparkerized it, replaced the barrel, and put a non-traditional front sight on it...but whoever the smith was that did it...did an amazing job. Rifling is sharp with a S&W barrel, and the lockup is like brand new...
All for $275

Probably, but I'm not in the Aussie military and no-one's going to make a war game with us in it. We're not as 'heroic' as the US armed forces or as 'cool' as the SAS. Which is a massive pity because I'd love to play a reenactment of the ANZAC campaigns from the first world war to gain a greater appreciation for our war heroes.
Course, anything before WW2 doesn't interest American game developers.

Thats what impressed me while visiting Camberra, the military museum there. That place was literally filled with Aussie pride, sacrifices made (seeing ripped apart helmets and backpacks from the Gallipoli campaign along caused by Turkish artillery). It was that campaign that pretty much showed the Brits that Australia was a nation now.
I too wish they'd do WW1 style games as first person shooters. Reason why is likely cause the WW1 vets are numbering maybe a dozen worldwide, whereas WW2 vets still number in the milions. Plus all the cool weapons produced in WW2 compared to WW1.
I myself wish they would make more WW1 1/35th scale armor kits.
I consider myself blessed to own a Early Mk III SMLE of 1914 date that came with the "Light Horseman" six pocket leather Ammo pouch that still holds the owners campaign record, starting with Gallipoli, Palestine, Iraq, Ypres and Somme written in old ink with dates...assigned to that Enfield.
