Angel is a dark wizard I met a few years ago at Red Castle. Him and John Gomez were approached by Silver, another friend of mine, and we got to know each other through MTG. Sometimes we'd get drunk and talk about playing music together. Angel is a singer, but he's never been in a band. I brought this up with Dan and we invited Angel over, and he's turned out to be amazingly adaptable and creative/intuitive. It's not easy for Dan and I to connect with another musician. Right now we're having a hard time with a new lead guitarist and a keyboardist. Before Sean, we've been through Posey, Grimm, Sophie, Tong and a few people on CL.

I'm actually relieved and excited about being able to focus more on writing and less on singing. Dan, Angel and I wrote this song in minutes. It started with Dan leading me through the verse, then I led him through the chorus. Angel sang along while coming up with the lyrics and melodies at a speed that I've never seen, and I've been at this for 20 years.

This isn't anything prolific, but that's why I'm so in love with it. It's extremely minimal on my part, no effects, no engineering, just my guitar and my tiny Champion 600. I wish I could have used my Airline, but I was in a rush. It's Dan and Angel that make this song as fantastic as it is. I basically want to write this song 11 more times and then record the album.
