Yeah I'm still going through my files and finding stuff to post. I thought this was a really cool pic of little mini-me that made. Of course she came along with me for my Amazon trip. I have quite a few pictures of her here but I think this one came out the nicest. It was taken by the back deck of our little research station. There is a beautiful volcano immediately off camera to the right, stupid me for not getting that in the shot.

God I want to go back there so bad. Like it kind of makes my heart hurt a little knowing this place is out there right now and I'm not at it. This is gonna sound so lame but there was a moment when I was out hiking and these two macaws landed in a tree above me and made all these chittering noises as the sun came out and little sunbeams made it down past the canopy and I'm not ashamed to admit I just cried for like 5 minutes because the world is just so incredible and I'm so glad to be in it. What an amazing adventure that was.

(Also I want to add that I took this with my cellphone and it has not been edited in any way. It's seriously just that gorgeous there.)
