I had some problems with this one, mainly because there was a lot of hidden color in the fur and the reference picture I used was oversaturated- So i dint quite strike the balance bewteen Matte and Highlights in the fur- however I learned that there is a "too much" as well as " too little" for details
I also tried too many things at once in this one, but it taught me to focus on one thing at a time and not jump around all the time- educational piece!

Ew i hate over saturated pics.
Love the tufty mane, the different colors in his face and his eyes!
My favorite part though is the cheekbones. People forget they exist in their art and its a shame. Cheekbones give a drawings a little bit of flavor that seems to be missing a lot.
