I am a Professor in Fine Arts and I taught for 28 years. I don't know what your state requirements are, but to teach in a Public School in Illinois, you HAVE to have Teacher certification. Check that out for your state, buddy.

See if there are any small art stores around and see if they'll let you run workshops out of them where the store'll make a certain amount off of it for hosting it there.

Teaching at a K-12 level requires various certifications at all levels, though it also varies heavily state to state. Mississippi, for instance, requires little more than a Bachelor's and 6 "certification" courses as well as the teaching exam. Colleges usually require a Master's. If you're serious about teaching, contact the state board of education for states you're interested in and find out if and where there are openings, cost of living, and if they would be willing to help with moving expenses. You may have to leave Arizona.

(waves) I seem to recall that was me. Can't say as it's really had much effect, but that's more a lack of my practicing than any failure in the theory. And it's useful to keep in mind.
