its a deep frozen winter up here, and you get cabin fever pretty bad as you are sort of snowed in. and im really missing hikes around the canyons here. believe it or not, this is what nevada looks like. it is truly beautiful and untouched (mostly). you can find antler sheds often which is kind of cool too. the altitude in lamoille is pretty high, and the rivers are all ancient melted glacier water. its nice to look around and see all the yarrow, sage and aspen. i grew up memorizing the mountains here and learning about and even hunting the creatures that live on on them. it really is home no matter how many places ive moved, this is where my mind connects. it is very sobering to spend time in these mountains.
