One of my friends bought me Total War: Napoleon Complete Edition on the agreement that I play it with him. Not thinking hard on it, I said yes. However, I quickly learned that I wasn't ready for the challenge that lied ahead. Normally I had played smaller scale tactical games, such as Rainbow Six, Socom, XCom or Red Orchestra 2. Going from Lieutenant to General is a big jump in promotion, as well as a 200 year jump back in time. After causing the deaths of about 100,000 people I think I finally got the hang of it. Not to mention that Total War showed me that this style of warfare isn't all just dummies standing in line, it's that and a lot of stabbing eachother. More interesting than I thought.
So I decided to draw a piece about one of the Russo-Turkish wars in the past, between the Imperial Russian Army and the Ottoman Empire. I gotta say, the motion blur effect I added seems to make it a bit more epic.
