And yeah, I feel you way too hard on the perfectionist thing LMAO.
But here's a tip: if you're doing details, concentrate on those first, who are most important for the viewers - here it would be (and always are) eyes, snarl, tongue, horns.... and neckfur. Surpriginsly, that's the first thing I notice, when I look at it.
Anyway it looks good to me. You're good at operating with watercolors, I really like the blends (wet-in-wet + transparency) and the harder edges (fur). Keep it up, Ska!
