In case you've been wondering if art is happening during my down time; Yes, but a lot more slowly and non-directional.
Since I spend most of the time I'm not at work doing life stuff, like getting my citizenship in order and working on the flat, I don't have time or mind to focus on anything properly artsy, so I instead use this time to freshen up WIPs and older stuff that I might have lying around.
Since a few people asked for this, here's a cleaned up version of the size chart, with characters added. Percival and Oru will get their own info ports and character studies done when my hand and mind feel like it. I'll answer comments either later tonight or tomorrow.

Oho. Marvin noticed Myra and is not a happy marten. Myra seems to take this as her hint to beat a hasty retreat. :D
Anelie gives Tobur a rather nasty look, while the latter looks straight forward seemingly thinking: "Don't make eye contact. Don't make eye contact. Don't make eye contact."
Another thought I have while looking at this picture: there is always a bigger fish. ;)

Hehehe X3 yeah, Myra loves to piss Marvin off. Her way of dealing with her situation at the bottom of the local food chain X3
The visual relationship between Tobur and Anelie I did highlight a little more here. I'll likely have one or two plot points revolve around it eventually.
And yes, there's always a bigger fish, but apart from Oru's and Anelie's daughter Chandarmalue, there there's no larger predators in Morning Light. There's one who will be in a similar weightclass as the ones we can see here, but they'll only be introduced much later.

So Myra and Marvin are more like straight enemies than Vitriolic Best Buds (like Marvin and Percival)? :)
That sounds interesting. Looking forward to seeing those plot points in the comic.
Then for now Tobur needs to be careful around only three predators? That doesn't sound too bad for him. :D

Yeah, Myra doesn't necessarily see them as enemies, but she does know Marvin doesn't care at all for her casualness around him, Tobur or any other predator for that matter.
Ah, I misphrased that. The wolf pack are the largest predators in Morning Light. There's more of them than just Oru, Anelie and Chandarmalue, but they're the local apex predators. There's only one other predator who's in their weight class, but like I said, they're seasonal ^^

Yeah, mostly. She loves picking on him way too much though XD
And yes, the alpha pair have had several litters. Some stayed, many left to be with other packs. Currently there's 6 wolves in Morning Light and spring is shaping up good, so they might have another set this season

Some constructive criticism on this? ^_^;
Oru and Anelie's paws (the ones in contact with the ground) aren't quite...mashed...enough, given their weight. Sorry. Just now getting a change to check out the gritty details.
Aside from that, though, your anatomy of the different species is very, very good. At this point, I can even pick out the species that Nele belongs to—not just her genus.

Always welcome :3
Yeah, I'm having trouble drawing paws properly, especially on quadrupedal creatures. I'll get it right eventually, though in this case, we can assume they're in a frictionless vacuum they can breathe in for some reason 8D
Thank you very much for both points. I'm not sure whether I'll be portraying other laporidae species throught the comic, but I'm glad I can at least bring over Nele's heritage ^^

I do my best to catch them all. I'll admit to leaving a few out here and there, simply because they're too repetitive or simply because they rub me the wrong way, but I try to be at least a little sociable. Comments are an artists life-blood after all ^^
I'm glad you like the comic and the surrounding stuffs ^^ hope to keep you about as we continue
