
Named after the place where many of her ancestors met an unpleasant sticky fate, this saber toothed cat (smilodon) seems to be maintaining her sense of humor. Looks like she got her plushie mammoth at the gift shop too!

This is why I think you are my favorite furry artist. All of your art reminds me of, like, the late 80s to mid 90s, but in a good way. Critters was still being published, the black-and-white comics boom was on, the influence of Japanese art was starting to be felt in the American indie scene without trying to be straight-out emulated, and the fandom had yet to go insane.

Smilodon skeletons have been found at the La Brea Tar Pits in Los Angeles.

I just wanted to add that "La Brea" is simply Spanish for "The tar pitch". If you look here:
