I wonder how long he spent arranging the feathers in just the right way so they flap the most dramatically when he's in flight?

Really digging that blue pattern there. What did you use to accomplish the mottled look. A wash?

Contrasting washes x3 I painted the whole thing white, then used Cassandra Yellow on everything, then Fuegan Orange. Painted the blue feathers, then washed with Druchi Violet, then highlighted Lothern Blue.

Thats a pretty sick blue you got. I'll have to try that out next time I'm doing a deep blue. Busy working with tons and tons (and tons and tons and tons) of whites these days. Tau and Stormtroopers (Imperial Assault). So much white.

I haven't been painting white...but I've been BASING shit white x3 Base everything white...then paint it with shades <:3c Makes for great yellows and oranges.

God. Yellow is my nightmare color. Getting anything to look good in yellows is just impossible for me. I ditched doing an imperial fist army forever ago because I couldn't stand the idea of working with yellows and THEN doing trim in red. I've since improved as a painter and think I can do it but its like PTSD for me lol.

Watching a ton of tutorials though helped. I've got some decent new color scheme tau in white I'm quite proud of. Just gotta find time to knock out more of them.

Just prime white, Cassandra Yellow the whole thing, hit the armpits and bellies with Seraphim Sepia, trim red x3
