This is an underpainted and glazed pic like I enjoy doing occasionally. This is the finished product after I've painted the pic completely in black and white, then glazed the colour over it. I love the way these look and the many layers of the paint really make things glow. I've been meaning to paint Emma dressed in a colour other than white and finally got around to it. I have no idea why she looks so sad but that's what came out of the brush. This is loosely based off a shot from an ad. 11x14 acrylic on illustration board.

I don't get the title reference (guess I'm just not old enough ;) ) but I agree with you 100% on the piece - it simply radiates beauty. My favorite aspect of this picture would have to be...oh God, I can't lie, I just LOVE her head; that expression on her face, the soft, almost poofy cloud of hair tumbling down over her shoulders, all the detail you put into her expression. It's all so gorgeous. Definitely one of your best.
