Sometimes linework ruins pieces. It's hard to keep all subtle good bits intact. That's how I feel anyway ^^,

I feel similarly, though I've gotten a good feel about how to use lines in landscapes now. You can really enrich the depth if you line the foreground and move the lines down in size the further you go.
