Dr. Lava was once the arch-enemy of the Avenger, back when there were fewer G-52s but more diversity in the villains as a result. When Bendraqi became the sole enemy after making it obvious he was going to break a promise, Lava rebelled against his evil ways and went into hiding. He has only re-emerged recently with the new terrorism going on, and Super C gave him a much-needed second chance. He thus is the UK's (and specifically Scotland's) latest G-52.
