Neat little musing boyo, that's for sure. What with the equalists in your world I'd be surprised there aren't more like him. I can see quite a few different places this little bit could go.

Actually I don't think there are that many like him.

the life style is so ingrained that most prey pretty much accept that the only way to avoid becoming someone's meal is to be very productive. very few of them think of learning out to defend themselves.

I really need to sit down and work on the Equalist movement. I have such a distaste for politics that every time I think of it I make it a movement with hidden agenda and conspiracy galore and it should be something much more grounded in 'reality' than that.

Wow... this is interesting. A more... neutral party... definitely sounds similar to my character. Be kind to anyone who shows you kindness... but become an enemy, and I'll cut you down. 2.5 foot bull... he doesn't look dangerous... but that's half the danger! :D

in the world he lives in the fact that he's prey makes him 'not dangerous' to a predator's mind, his small size and species certainly doesn't help, but they will be in for quite a surprise.

As for being neutral, I'm not so sure. Sometime I think that he actively seeks situation where he's going to be attacked, just so he can kick some ass.
