I found a beautiful picture of the sky and used it as a reference for this. I don't think I'm going to try for a design this small again. It was very tricky. I'm still happy with how it came out though.

This is going to be a good year for woodcarving. I've started using acrylic paint instead of Gouache and it's so much easier to work with, I have a wonderful new camera that can take photos that do the feathers justice, and I have a nice new box I made that can safely carry all of these around to the whole bunch of conventions I have planned this year!
