Another examples of sketches found in Sketchbook 27 which just went up on ebay today. This is one of several study sketches I did for a proposed illustration. The setting was going to he the Sahara so I thought it might be good idea to do some study sketches of the landscape and local critters before embarking on a finished piece.

Camels are almost two dimensional. Long, very tall, but with almost no width to their bodies. Because of that you ride them very differently compared to a horse, donkey. You sit more on top of them.
