It's so nice to see a tender moment between them (but I'm a sucker for cute couples art anyhow). I like what you've done with their tattoos. I really love Vincent's expression and somewhat narrow muzzle, his glasses look great too; and his facial hair! this just turned out so great, all the colors in Tira's hair look pretty and her arm looks like Lisa Frank got tattoo equipment and went to work on her ;D the poses are so sweet, Tira's got this kind of relieved and comforted expression like "finally I can cuddle with you, no one's watching right?"

OK NOW I can leave you a proper comment! I was all freaking about football and X-Files so I was in super dork nerd mode but now I return and can actually think straight! I have been staring at this since you sent it to me. I first saw it on my phone at Mrs. June's and just started freaking out. I couldn't wait to get home and hop on here and see a big version! I am serious when I say that the next colored picture I'm working on is one of these two (unless I finally get off my ass and color Syd and Ginger I suck for taking so long) And I meant every word I said when I told you that I am beyond floored at your progress and growth in your art, Laura. You are such a huge inspiration to me. You have come SO far, i hope you can sit back and see it. Because it's just SO obvious. You have such a grasp on perspective now, with your ability to add in backgrounds and make their poses look so natural on the couch, with Vincent's leg propped up on the table, the windowsill behind them, the bookshelf, the painting.... Is the plant the Tree of Life? Because it reminds me of one. and I absolutely love how the bookshelf has books at different angles, how one truly would be should you be popping books out to read like Vincent being the hipster he is would be. Yeah yeah people DO still read books! I can imagine this as Vincent's home.... or were you thinking Tira's? Because either could work. But I guess the books and the poster make me think Vincent. I know I know that poster but I'm having a brain fart.

AND JUST OH MY GOD THEM. I LOVE THEM. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. I LOVE HOW YOU DRAW THEM. I am so so so so so happy that you were comfortable with letting me make up a partner for Tira. I feel so special and so humbled that you would let me do that at all, and that you have loved them so much to make such gorgeous pictures of them. Tira is such a precious little thing, I love her so much you have no idea. Fennecs have always been one of my favorite animals, and she is just such a gorgeous one. I love what Kizzy said about her tattoo, it is like Lisa Frank got tattoo equipment and went to work. It is so colorful and so her, I love all the little details and how you make it all flow together. It's not easy to blend such rainbow colors and make the images stand out... like, how the ice cream stands out against the rainbow, how you make all the rainbow colors mix together but stand out at the same time, I hope that makes sense?

I love her colorful hair.. one of my fav touches is how her hair flows above her shoulder, over Vincent's body and in his hand. I really love how you've been drawing hair, overlaying it atop the colors below and outlining it with the colored outlines. I like this one and how you did mostly black outlines except for their hair and Vincent's fur, which basically is his hair. I love the reddish color you used to outline the darker parts of his fur around his chest fluffs and his hair and facial hair. GAH HIS MUSTACHE is the best thing in existence ok I'm so glad you decided on that for part of his design it just makes him stand out agains the crowd of typical characters you see nowadays. AND HIS TATTOOS gah they are SO gorgeous ;; You know me so well, Laura. You made all his tattoos part of things I enjoy, colors I enjoy, concepts I enjoy... I especially adore the stag head, the third eye, the watch with the purple stars, the infinity symbols, LOVE on his knuckles... all of it couldn't be more perfect ;;

I am so floored at your anatomy abilities too. The way you did Vince's hand holding Tira's hair, just... wtf. How did you do that. That pose for a hand would have given me SO MUCH grief I would have thrown this picture on the floor and yelled at it. And how natural you made his pose with his arm behind Tira so she's leaning on him. I love the softness behind this. How you've captured a rare tender moment between them that no one would ever see. Tira being such a little drama queen she is would never let the public she her be a smoochy woochy little snuggle-kins with her boy, but here she is just showing her love for him in such an obvious way, with her loving gaze to her loving pose. And how Vince is looking back at her, holding her, so relaxed and comfortable. They couldn't be more adorable and in love. ;_____;

and don't get me started on how well you differentiate between species! You have just nailed drawing various facial structures and head shapes to represent the various species of critters. How Tira's nose slopes more dramatically while Vince's is more more elongated given his herding dog background. And how perfect his colors are for a Tervuren... Seriuosly, this couldn't be more amazing. I love the folds in the clothing and how they follow the anatomy of their bodies so well. I love Vince's tight hipster jeans and his Pixies shirt, and Tira's adorable little stockings and how she has her shoes off (yes?) since they are in the midst of cuddling on the couch! And all their piercings are so cute and spot on! And I love the color of Tira's inner ears. Plus Vince's awesome hipster glasses! And Tira's beautiful eyes! AND JUST EVERYTHING OK THIS COMMENT IS HUGE I'M SHUTTING UP NOW I LOVE YOU TIMES INFINITY AND FOREVER AND EVER AND EVER <33333333

AND THE COLORS and how you blended all them together so perfectly and what did you use? Copics mostly? Some colored pencil in there? What kind of pens are you using for inking and colored outlines? You should so send me some inked stuff to color sometime. Or I need to get my ass to Maryland for a visit. I think that's the real answer.
