On the way home from my second day at Anthro New England 2016, I saw an Amtrak train that was parked at one of the platforms at South Station. Behind the locomotive (a GE P42 "Genesis" diesel, not surprisingly) was one of Amtrak's brand-new Viewliner II baggage cars. What especially makes them stand out is the classic "Phase III" Amtrak color scheme from the 1980s! I used to see locomotives and cars painted that way at South Station a lot as a kid in the late 90s, and I do miss seeing them there frequently, but maybe with the new Viewliner cars, this will change...
