I usually take photos of my Pucaràs in HORRIBLE AUTUMM-WINTER days, because are painted in Malvinas War scheme (infact, notize the dry mud in the nose wheel XD), but today i decided to give some summer sun to one of them XD
This plane is VERY heavy, because i filled it with lot of counterweight to can resist the patagonic wind. you can see even a little of that electrode parts in the doors of the main landing gear, but even isndei the drop tank is heavier XD
I am still amazed about the SIZE of this plane, even in 1/72 scale. Airfix kit is excellent, even can resist the 700% extra weight XD, but sadly i had to made some weapons and extra fuel tank for it because doesn`t includes them

the unique bad thing of the Pucarà is that is REALLY BIG (at least when you have a big army of modelkits and a small house , is a trouble), and here is TERRIBLY EXPENSIVE (like 800 pesos or even more!) . But i took the chance when can,
yellow07 sent me one from England years ago, and i get 2 more here XD
and yay! i never will ssee it, maybe in...let`s think in british times... 250 years, when the petroleoum was depleted and the Antartica was completly full of people

Like announcing that he would never launch the British nuclear deterrent if he was Prime Minister
No one would, even during hardest time like '62 and '83 when cold war almost turned hot. That's the point of deterrence right? what he said is like announcing 'i would never eat fish, i hate fish anyway'.
That's ludicrous

Yeah, kennedy and his 'full retaliatory response' just to name a few, the french also have policy of detonating tactical nuke with gradually increasing yield if the soviets attempt to cross the rhine (and effectively invading france)
The soviet, especially andropov, was overly paranoid at that time: able archer/reforger? US going to attack, increased crypted communication with britain about grenada? US going to attack, increased security due to beirut bombing? US going to attack. like thay had nothing else in mind. thanksfully they had agents on the west, one of them reiner rupp a.k.a. topaz, who reassured that the attack will not take place
they're not fully to blame though, they had terrible experience in this kind of incident (barbarossa '41), and andropov himself had witnessed the horror of hungarian revolution of '56
sorry dingo for hijacking your page, nice model by the way, is that one of two that you had built or another new one?

At that time de Gaulle was dissapointed that NATO was dominated by US and UK, he concerned that America would not fulfill its promise to defend Europe in the event of a Russian invasion. Much like the Soviet, the French also had experience from '39 and wanted more freedom to act by themselves.
surprisingly de Gaulle was 'relatively' more friendly to the soviets than US and UK at that time
