Another view of the layout in progress. Track on the diagonal branch has not been glued down yet. The insulation foam blocks standing up are just marking a section where I plan to stack up layers of foam that will be carved into a ridge of hills. This way, the switch yard and turn table on the opposite side of this section of the table will not be visible to the commercial district in the foreground (where the paper cutouts for the buildings are). This will make the model railroad look bigger than it really is.
