Tani's an incubus, specifically a variety evolved from the incubi of lore, which technically makes him a demon.

Tota's a Bixi, which means he's supposed to exorcise any demons in his presence.

Tani was more than happy to oblige, shoving himself down the Bixi's gullet before he even knew what hit him.
