I finally finished this beautiful drawing of Kayla that I’ve been working on since August 15th (yay for saving texts!) for my close close friend,  vivzmind

Vivienne has been going through some really tough times these past few months. What started as really nasty art block jujus became strings of bad luck and misfortune; so when I surprised her with the start of this gift, it was meant to at first help fire back up her spirits. But things only got rougher, and as things got rougher, I only felt more and more determined to make what was intentionally going to be a monochromatic sketch piece into a grand drawing; because it was the least she deserved, y’know?

Initially, this was going to be a drawing of Angel, or even Jayjay, but while they are both very important, I thought that Vivienne needed someone who was more spirited and ever-lasting; and who better, then one of her OLDEST characters?

And I’m glad she enjoys it; there were constant, day-after-day nights at times where I hosted secret livestreams of secretness just so she could see the process of this, and staying up till damn near 7 AM in the morning (yes, that was a thing) to finish this made the blood and sweat a little more worth it.

I hope you guys enjoy looking at this as much as I enjoyed making it. I love how it came out, and many people spent time with me in order to help me make this as compelling as it could be, so I’m very very proud of this piece.
