These are reposting of image already on my FA page but now much better scanned and better descriptions.
More examples of the art found in Sketchbook 27 which is currently up on EBay and further images from my Angel & Knight Alternate Two dreamscape.
A source of tension between Heaven and Hell in my A&K-2 dreamscape was an ongoing arms race over the development and construction of cosmic battleships. These were the heavy hitters that both sides possess, and their construction and deployment was constant source of contention and debate. Their the numbers, size, capabilities, where they may be deployed was been a source of endless argument and negotiations. Think Washington Treaty and any of the SALT conferences and you get the idea.
At the beginning of the dreamscape Heaven was rather frantically, but quietly, searching one of their latest battleships that had gone missing. The DCW, Divine, Celestial, Warship, Celestial Judgment had gone missing. The Celestial Judgement represented the state-of-the-art for construction and design when it comes to cosmic battleships. It was faster, larger, better armed and armored, and more capability than any other ship in the Celestial High Fleet. It was template that Heaven planned to model all of its future cosmic battleships on.
With its massive SMITE, Spinal Mounted Intense Tactical Eradicator, it was capable of laying waste to lesser opponents in one shot. Its enhanced Battle Stations of the Cross gave it an immense edge when comes to sensors, communications and managing information during combat, and its HALOS, Highly Autonomous Line Of Sight, close-in defense system was able to handle even the most intense of saturation attacks. And now Heaven had lost its new toy.
Heaven had its suspicions of where the Celestial Judgment but was having to be very careful about investigating their leads. It appeared that the battleship was currently residing in the Mortal Plane which was in complete violation of all agreements between Heaven and Hell. Worse it appeared the Celestial Judgement had crashed on a planet that was occupied by mortal beings and to make things even more interesting the locals had built a large settlement on top of the buried battleship. Yep, The Event of 1977 was the result of the Celestial Judgement folding into the Mortal Plane, and Metro City was built upon it. Time advances at different speeds between our world and the Higher Realms.
This is why Junior Goddess Twitch was told to plant the sensors, and why she was suppose to give the two talismans to a Senior Celestial Operative. The Operative was going to choose two mortals and give them the talismans so they could sense, reactivate and then pilot the Celestial Judgement out of the Mortal Plane and back into Celestial controlled space.
Now some mortals had figured out that something very special was buried under Metro City and they had been quietly investigating it, but they were being thwarted by the technology and security systems on board the battleship. The investigation was being handled by the Department of Strange Stuff, but that is for another posting.

Ooh.. Sword-shaped space ships!
Reminded a bit of a new expansion to the card game Sentinels of the Multiverse. The Celestial Tribunal. They are very much of the 'put humanity on trial' model. Anyway, sword-shaped ship:
