The reason why they did that to her is because the animators thought she wasn't loony enough and over sexualized.
1. The internet will sexual content of characters no matter what you so, its best to ignore.
And 2. I think the best way to combine the two versions is for her to be a totally different person when in a shopping and be totally dominate in sports. I think her character should have done in layers. Y'know what I mean?
