Alphabetical Order - Lesley
Character Based on 'Alphabetical Order' by Michael Frayn
The next character in the roster is Lesley. Lesley represents order within the chaos of the play, acting as the embodiment of change about to hit the players. She acts with nothing but the best intentions, committing herself to the task of 'getting things straight' with the environment and the people surrounding her. However, despite her tireless efforts and just intentions, her changes end up being constricting rather than freeing as the cast begins to realise order was not what they were looking for.
Lesley can appear unassuming, but there's a definite cunning and guile present within the character, something that I felt would be best represented by a fox.
"You're a natural for it. You've got an instinct for order"
"It's a compulsion. I hate the feeling of being compelled."
