I used to get Fruit Stripes gum all the time at my local Dillons when I was a kid, it was my favorite gum back then. Even if there was gum that tasted better, it was just the whole aesthetic of it that appealed to me (I'm not saying it tasted bad, I'm just saying there was gum out there that tasted better). The look of the gum was something completely different than anything else out there, and it had a freaking rainbow-striped zebra as the mascot, for crying out loud. Of course, this was long before I became a furry (I didn't get into the fandom until '98, and by then it was no longer sold in my area), but I still have fond memories of that gum.

I remember seeing the gum as a kid, and then it disappeared for a long time, an d I never did try it back then. When I made a pic of Diamond chewing the gum about 10 years ago, several people sent me packs of the gum, so I finally got to try it XD

That's just freaking awesome. =3

....and now I'm imagining Di and Yipes having a child together, and naming it Skittles. x3

Well... wouldn't it be protected under it being a parody and one not used to make money? Under US law poking fun at something as long as you don't directly copy it one for one is legally fine.

Oh I know. The joke is that Di is basically copying a character and Puz is like 'no don't, you'll get us sued!' and it kinda works as a double joke because Di's nude and while we've seen her nude a lot, Puz may also be like 'that's inappropriate!', especially since it's basically rule 34-ing a mascot.

It seems lately my jokes are either really not clear to people. Either I'm making them have mixed singles or I'm doing a poor job of making jokes or something. I dunno. Just seems to be a lot of confusion about the jokes within my recent set of Ask pages.

Don't be overly concerned, this is the internet after all, people will blow up about the littlest things, the bigger (aka more popular) you become, the more often and bigger the blow ups are. You can't please everyone, still I think 90 percent of your fans get and respect you're humor.
