Today i just had a character concept i had to get out. Honestly, i have a backlog of concepts for characters in my own personal mythology, but this guy was too cool not to draw!

So, this is Batch. As you can see, he, or should i say THEY, are definitely Synthetic. In fact, Batch is six of them; each of those red circles is where a core would be, with the surrounding gelatinous substance being comprised of quite a large portion of exceedingly tiny nanobots.

Each of these cores has a kind of core personality, not unlike GladOS, and while together, form their entire psyche. While seperate, however, they would probably equate to little more than semi-sentient pets. They can be given orders and directive, but don't expect one to have a coherent conversation. Given that each of them cooperates to make their mind, they tend to use plural pronouns when referring to themselves.


I've loved the idea for a long time of a character being made of a number of smaller segments, probably ever since i saw the Boomps from Little Nemo, Adventures in Slumberland. but here it is! expect more character pics soon.
