What in the world is the Witchcat summoning?
The start of a series of personal art/gift art pieces that I'm using to test out some new techniques and to refine things that have been bothering me with my art and commissions lately.
This actually started as me wanting to practice my lines and lighting, lines in particular. I've been absolutely frustrated with them and as I'm working on commissions I'm just spending so much time trying to do and redo the stupid line work that it is just....ugh. Ugh. So I decided to do a bit of art to kind of reset and practice, to try and get myself out of this funk. I'm REALLY pleased with it, although to be honest I still feel the lines are lacking.
Anyway, I would spend more time on it, but I kind of like the rough feel to parts of it and I feel it's pretty awesome for me.
The anatomy was referenced from a photograph I took of myself, which is why the arms and hands look proper instead of funky as fuck. I may start using anatomy references more, they do seem to help a lot.
