I was asked in a comment how I achieve such a clean look when I attach noses to my heads without airbrushing a ton of black around the nose or using felt/fleece to hide fur edges... the ring around the nose look. I've been using noses from
dreamvisioncreations for almost 4 years now. I love those folks!
Instead of trying to type it all out, I took photos while I stuck "Kitten's" nose on here.
I use a lighter quite a bit when working on achieving a smooth look with fur. When used carefully and sparingly, it melts the fur causing the fur to become a hard rough surface. This helps the adhesive to adhere better. I also use a lighter around the edges of the mouth and eyes to smooth out fur fibers. If you use it too much, it will leave brown burn marks so be uber careful.
