That's supposed to be my fursona as a fox-squirrel. Not that big of a difference between a rat & a squirrel, other than that wonderfully floofy tail *sigh*. Squirrels have upright ears, are bow-legged & have bigger hands (but not ape-ishly big like I depicted here! [speaking of ape, doesn't this look halfway to being King Louie from Disney's bastardized version of The Jungle Book?]).
Bleah, I'm very unhappy with how this turned out. Except for the acorn.
It was fairly quick sketching it out, the inking wasn't so great, and the coloring rapidly went south. I have a whole bunch of things to blame, from last-minute work (I forgot about this in my move, just remembered it yesterday), poor lighting, substandard tools, and the lack of a desk--but I think the biggest culprit it just plain being out of practice & still having jacked-up fingers from my move.
My roomie did this scan at work & the scanner appears to have wreaked havoc with the colors--but take my word for it, the coloring was pretty poor to begin with.
The lyrics of course are from the famous "Baby Got Snack," by Sir Pix-A-Lot. *ducks & runs from the angry mob*
On cardstock, with crayon, substandard markers, & a couple good markers in a vain effort to rescue this mess.

They're dead common in Oxford, Ohio (one of the places I used to live). I was used to to the smaller grey & black varieties, I had never seen such large squirrels before. First time I saw one in my window I thought for a moment that it was an odd-looking cat!
And I hear that they're good eatin'. <.< >.>
::Stage voice:: Much better than, say, rats. Yeccchh, rats taste awful, yes they do. Squirrels are quite succulent in comparison! And bunnies are like filet mignon!
(Sorry, Stank--every now & then my self-preservation kicks in)

Thou art over-generous with thine praise, messire, yet I thank thee for thine ongoing benevolence (dunno why I'm talking like a refugee from a community Shakespeare company).
Hey gang--Furthling's the one who buried the nut of inspiration, as it were, for "I Like Big Nuts."

Bwaha! You mean the "Who's that Squirrel" Eurythmics/ "Squirrels just want to have fun" Lauper gag? This outshines that.
Speaking of nuts. Snack recommendation for the day: cocoa roasted almonds. Look for them in the green plastic container. Mmmmmm! (It may be that the only place they're currently available is the notorious test market that is central ohio-- which would be the only cool thing left in central ohio, as of a week or two ago.)
