Endless Realms player class - Mystic
Player class artwork for Endless Realms, a D&D-like "pen and paper" fantasy RPG I'm working for.
Mystics are a mage class that utilizes the power of order magic, harnessing it in the form of precise runes and strict mantras, and allowing them to enforce or temporarily alter the very laws of reality. It takes a rare breed to become a successful mystic, requiring intense dedication and discipline - most of these individuals are rigidly honour-bound and meticulous in their ways, exacting and precise, calculating and critical, and have an unshakeable belief in the way the universe "should" be.
My apologies to those to whom I promised a female Ulvar Kyr mystic! The art director had originally been on board with the idea, but decided later that more human artwork was needed after feedback from players.

Yeah, I'm not sure. I just know the art director was okay with only having one human class image at first, then commented one day that someone complained that there aren't enough humans, and then later asked me to make sure the mystic was a human rather than an Ulvar like I had planned, so I kind of assumed that was the reason *shrugs*
lol, the art director actually explicitly said that a lot of mystics are actually pretty OCD and might tend to have things like daily cleanliness rituals and stuff like that, heh.
And I had considered adding more details or colours to his outfit, but something about the starkness and austerity of it made sense for someone who embodies order :b so I left him as is.
Thanks a lot! <3

I'm not sure I'd play one of these characters over a dancer but this could be really fun. Laying rune traps on the ground or on structures to bend reality. Though I'd be the person that'll try to make one of them go crazy. Who wants order when chaos is more fun.
how do you become one of these testers or people that get spoken to to come up with the decisions for this stuff

*chuckles* See how chaotic a character you can play before the DM starts making your magic disobey :b
Heh... Be friends with the producers - really, the "team" is the two of them, a writer, an artist (me), and a bunch of friends' input :b If you have serious interest in it, though, I can give you their contact info, but they seem pretty shy about working with people outside their group of friends and despite having a number of people like you express interest in helping or testing (for free, even), they've declined.
