Commission - Lauren & Sunset Shimmer
This commission is for 
LaurenRivers of their zebra OC Lauren and Sunset Shimmer (or as I affectionately call her, 'bacon pony') sharing a moment aboard an airship. This is based on :LaurenRiver:'s comic MLP Eclipse but further along in the story line (i.e. not yet drawn).
Interesting facts when I was looking up Sunset's color scheme, many people accidentally color her pony coat with her human skin color, which is actually significantly lighter (as with all of the Equestria Girls). Also learned her mane (well hair) color was altered between Rainbow Rocks and Friendship Games to a slightly less loud, more pastel color scheme.
The airship is loosely based on the one form the Eclipse comic except I made mine considerably more colorful, because let's face it, Equestria is a very color world. Went with a pink sky to imply a more romance setting.

Although by and large I wasn't sure if I felt the EG movies were a good idea or not, I immediately fell in love with Sunset Shimmer. She just struck me as such an interesting character and a definite contrast to Twilight Sparkle. Although I felt the plot of the first could have used another ten or fifteen minutes to make the character development stronger I felt like she needed a real shot at redemption.
After planning out the first comic and considering an eventual second which will at this point become the third 'season', I decided I needed to explore that a lot more. Needless to say it wasn't hard adding her to the main cast.

My other challenge in this pic was your character. Looking through the comic her stripes go from brown to a near black (so I went with the latter). Also her ears where sometimes white and sometimes black (went with black based on pics of her outside of the comic). For the cutie mark I draw that up in a separate image so I could put it on her in the commission.
