The War Memorial at Virginia Tech.
On the sides of the pillars is a list of all former Virgina Tech students who served in the military and lost their life. Each pillar represents a different time period.
The school's motto "That I May Serve", or more commonly heard in latin around the campus (Ut Prosim) is carved into the the top stair leading to the memorial.
The memorial also looks out over the main field of campus, the Drill Field. A very large grassy area with a few paths across.
